You’re sensing the call for something more. You have this feeling deep inside. It’s a little voice whispering – sometimes so softly you can barely hear it. It is easy to ignore and try to forget about it. Yet, there are times when it is yelling. Kicking and screaming even. What the heck is going on?
No One Will Notice – Except You!
Everything is fine – mostly. No one in your book club or tennis league is going to confront you with this. In fact, they probably think you are doing just great and that you are amazing. Well, you are amazing. But they won’t notice that there is this little thing that keeps appearing.
Inner Wisdom Is Calling
It shows up at the oddest times. It is often the most loud at night – in the middle of the night. What is it saying? Have you stopped to listen? It is your inner wisdom calling you and asking you a question. Are you ready to do the thing you came here to do?
You’ve Done All the Preparation for This Day
Now is the time. Today is the day. You have spent your whole life preparing for this. Everything you have done up to now has been preparatory. You have so many tools in your tool box. So much wisdom to share. You have so many incredible gifts that others are waiting to benefit from.
They Are Right In Front of You
Where are they? You have written about them in your journal. Inspiration has appeared in your meditation time. Friends have given you feedback at least once, probably more, about your special way of interacting with others, how you have been present and compassionate with them or their family. Were you listening?
Now. Don’t wait till tomorrow. It is time to pull these gifts out of hiding and take a good mindful look at them. Take some time to playfully examine them. This is the first step on your next important journey that you are about to take.
Your Valuable Gifts
The reason you are here is to share your gifts, wisdom, talent and time with the world. You have done the work. You have raised kids, had a career, been in a relationship, left a relationship, volunteered, been to a million soccer games. In all of that giving you have earned some street cred. It is valuable.
The world is waiting for women like you. This call is for you – wise, gifted, talented woman. You have come here to help heal the aching wounds the world needs to have healed.
This your calling. This is our calling. Let’s get of our way, join together and get on with it.
WHAT DO I DO?
What is it? That is up to you. Discovering this next beautiful path on your life journey can be fun. Let it be playful. Be curious. Here are some suggestions:
1. Set aside 10-15 minutes each day to write. Use a brand-new journal, notebook or even on your computer.
2. Write down everything you have done in your life. Yes, everything. Even if it seems unimportant.
3. List 10 skills you have.
4. Write down 5 things, your bucket list, you would like to do before you leave this planet.
5. List organizations, causes, groups, ideas and interests you are passionate about.
6. Make up 5 ways your experiences, skills and bucket list could intersect.
7. List all the reasons you should not do any of these things. Then cross them out!!!
8. List 2 to 5 people you could share this discovery project with.
9. Set up a time to meet with them.
10. At this meeting engage these friends and confidants in helping you discover what could be next for you. Pick one action item from the meeting with your friends and start it.
There are plenty of reasons that anyone of us could give for not starting a brand-new part of our lives. There are more reasons to begin. Begin now. You can do it!
